These is a great opportunity for current music educators or music education majors/graduate students interested in gaining more experience and supplementing income.
Marching Band staff position: Assistant Marching Band Director
Quince Orchard High School Marching Band
Quince Orchard High School is located at 15800 Quince Orchard Road in Gaithersburg, MD.
Payment: substantial stipend dependent upon education, experience, and availability. Past stipends have ranged from $2500-$5000 for the marching band season depending on the availability of the staff member.
Job Description: The successful candidate will have some experience with marching bands (college or high school) and a desire to be a part of a great team. Previous experience as a marching band staff member is a plus, but not required. The successful candidate will have some experience in leading rehearsals. Time commitment: Band Camp (August); Regular Season - two weekly rehearsals/sectionals, football games and performances from late August-November.
